Environmental Compliance Approvals

All of our operations are regulated by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment.  The Ministry of the Environment issues Environmental Compliance Approvals to Lafleche which stipulates operating requirements consistent with environmental regulations.

Lafleche has over 60 monitoring wells which monitor; groundwater quality, landfill gas, leachate levels and quality.  Other onsite monitoring includes dust collection and analysis, benthic sampling, and air quality.

Lafleche has a dedicated Ministry of the Environment Senior Officer who spends more than 50% of his time on our site. The Officer ensures that our site is operating in compliance with the conditions of our Environmental Compliance Approvals.  The Officer also assists and provides guidance with application submissions.
